OnePlus wants to present the next generation of its smartphone to the public on May 14th. The company invites to four different launch events taking place in London, New York, Bangalore (India) and Beijing. As before, there will also be early bird tickets this year for the London event at € 18. In the announcement, the manufacturer points out that tickets were sold out at the last event after 10 hours. If you want to see the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro directly on site, you should hurry up. A livestream on YouTube, Twitter and Facebook is also offered.
Just in time for the announcement of the presentation, OnePlus has also just released a short video in which the new top mobile phone is at least partially visible:
OnePlus 7: That’s whats coming
With the exact date of the presentation, Twitter has also come up with new reports on the features of the two OnePlus models. Thus, the standard version will come on a display with a diagonal of 6.4 inches and resolve with 2,340 x 1,080 pixels. At the rear, a double camera is installed, which dissolves at 48 MP or 5 MP. It is speculated that the manufacturer is relying on pixel binning to capture more detail and to minimize noise. If confirmed, the maximum resolution will decrease accordingly.
For the first time, OnePlus could opt for color gradients on the back. A first official teaser image actually leaves no other conclusion:
As a processor, the Snapdragon 855 is used, in a variant of 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of hard disk are available, while the second variant comes on 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of data storage. The battery provides 3,700 mAh and is recharged at 20 watts.
Only OnePlus 7 Pro with pop-up camera
The OnePlus 7 Pro should come on 6.7 inches in the display diagonal and dissolve with 3.120 x 1.440 pixels. Instead of two cameras OnePlus here on a triple camera, which should also resolve with up to 48 MP. The other two lenses are probably at 16 MP (ultra wide angle with 117 degrees) and 8 MP (telephoto lens with triple zoom). In the front, a pop-up camera is installed, which leaves the cell phone when needed.
In addition to the combination of 6 GB of RAM / 128 GB of memory and 8 GB of RAM / 256 GB of memory, there should be a stronger version, which offers 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of fixed memory. The battery probably comes to 4,000 mAh and is recharged quickly with up to 30 watts.
