OnePlus 7 (Pro): Does the music video show the new OnePlus smartphone?

As OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has already revealed, we will see the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro for the first time on May 14 in London. But it seems that Indian pop and Bollywood singer Neha Bhasin, the coveted smartphone in her music video, shows us a bit earlier.

OnePlus has successfully launched its marketing machinery, following more or less the same measures as in previous years. Also, the OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro, which we are presented according to their own statements on May 14, has already been published a lot of clues. The now emerging music video by Indian singer Neha Bhasin, however, leaves a few questions unanswered.

Undoubtedly, in the video titled "Meri Odhe Naal" in the special "OnePlus Playback" version, quite subtly referred to a OnePlus smartphone. It would be logical to use the OnePlus 7 or OnePlus 7 Pro here. That may also apply insofar as Neha holds the display in the camera. Because here it is clear that the smartphone dispenses with a notch in the display.

Large display without notch
A feature attributed to the 6.64-inch, 3,120 x 1,440-pixel Super AMOLED display on the OnePlus 7 Pro. Because that will drive the 16-megapixel front camera (f / 2.0) from the top of the case. But as the video shows, this OnePlus smartphone is equipped with a dual camera on the back. Here Pete Lau had promised us a triple camera.

Do we see the OnePlus 7 or 7 Pro?
So is it in the music video to the smaller OnePlus with the dual camera? Not really. Although the notch of the 6.4-inch AMOLED display should be smaller than its predecessor, the OnePlus 6T, it still exists. Because the OnePlus 7 should not have a pop-up camera and thus the front camera still installed in the display. But we also do not see that in the video.

Either the rumor about a notch in the new sevens is not true, or in the video we're dealing with multiple smartphones. In the best case with a prototype specially made for the video. Incidentally, OnePlus CEO seems to have a certain affinity for India. In the past, OnePlus has leaked its smartphones from Indian hands prematurely. The Indian actor Amitabh Bachchan - also known under the name Big B - has often been in the role of "Wingman" by Pete Lau.
